Texas Organics: A Fresh Choice

Texas farmers and ranchers are part of the growing movement of organic farming taking place across the country. Many farmers are choosing to organically control pests, fertilize crops and reduce water usage. Organic Texas products can be found at farmers markets, grocery stores or at community supported agriculture (CSA) operations. On August 24, the Texas Department of Agriculture joined forces with local grocer, H-E-B, to encourage parents to make healthy after-school snacks and meals for their children with healthy Texas-grown and raised food.
