Texas Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller Statement Regarding New EPA Policy On Waters Of The U.S (WOTUS). (12/11/2018)

“I applaud President Trump and his administration for removing the burden the previous Waters of the U.S. regulations would have placed on agriculture and the Texas economy, if it had been fully implemented. To the contrary, today’s proposal from the EPA establishes national consistency and clarity in water regulation without putting Texas farmers and our rural communities at risk."

"Once again, President Trump has fulfilled his promise of looking out for American agriculture and American farmers.  Thank you to all those legislators and industry representatives who worked so hard to address issues. And as Texas Agriculture Commissioner, I can look forward to spending less time suing the federal government and more time working on behalf of Texas farmers and ranchers.”

An eighth-generation Texas farmer and rancher, Sid Miller is the 12th Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA). A nine-time world champion rodeo cowboy, he has devoted his life to promoting Texas agriculture, rural communities and the western heritage of Texas.  Learn more about the Texas Department of Agriculture and Commissioner Miller at www.texasagriculture.gov.
