Miller Goal: Grow Hemp Abroad, Help Reduce Border Crisis

Today Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller kicked off National School Lunch Week, a celebration of hard-working nutrition teams and the healthy meals served in schools. During the week of Oct. 10-14, schools across Texas will offer special menus and use Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) resources to promote participation in the National School Lunch Program.

El Comisionado de Agricultura de Texas, Sid Miller, se reunió ayer con la Ministra de Economica de México, Tatiana Clouthier Carrillo, a través de una videoconferencia para instar al gobierno mexicano a reconsiderar su plan para desviar la expansión ferroviaria y portuaria del Corredor T-MEC lejos de Texas. Esta nueva línea férrea conectará el puerto mexicano de Mazatlán con la ciudad canadiense de Winnipeg y creará nuevas oportunidades económicas para las ciudades en la ruta. Originalmente se esperaba que la ruta pasara por Laredo.
