Slaughter Cattle:  

As of 3:00 PM Tuesday, negotiated cash trade has been inactive on light demand in all major feeding regions. Not enough trade for an adequate market trend. Last week in the Southern Plains, live purchases traded at 124.00. In Nebraska last week, live purchases traded from 126.000-128.00, with dressed trades at 205.00. In Colorado last week, live purchases sold from 127.00-127.50. In the Western Cornbelt last week, live purchases traded from 127.00-130.00, with dressed trades from 204.00-206.

Alberta Beef Producers Daily Report:

Alberta direct cattle sales Monday saw no new trade to report. This week's showlist has been compiled with volumes steady with the previous week. Last week on a cash to cash basis Alberta fed prices traded at a 9.00 discount against the Nebraska market. Western Canadian cow slaughter volumes continue to be large. Over 15,000 head more cows have been slaughtered this year versus last year.

Boxed Beef: 

Boxed beef cutout values higher on Choice and steady on Select on moderate to fairly good demand and moderate to heavy offerings. Select and Choice round cuts steady while rib, chuck, and loin cuts steady to firm. Beef trimmings sharply higher on good demand and moderate offerings.
