Slaughter Cattle:

As of 3:00 PM Friday, negotiated cash trading has been slow on light demand in the Northern Plains. Compared to last week live purchases have traded 3.00-4.00 higher mostly at 113.00. In Nebraska, compared to the prior week, dressed purchases have traded 5.00 higher at 178.00. So far for Friday in the Southern Plains and Western Cornbelt negotiated cash trading has been limited on light demand. In the Southern Plains a few live purchases have traded at 113.00. In the Western Cornbelt a few dressed purchases have traded at 178.00. However, not enough for a full market trend in any of these regions. Last week in the in Texas Panhandle live purchases traded from 110.00-111.00. In Kanas live purchases traded at 110.00. In the Western Cornbelt on Thursday live purchases traded at 112.00. Last week dressed purchases traded from 170.00-173.00.
