A State of Texas Application for Employment can be downloaded by clicking in the "Related Content" box. The application may be submitted either in Word or PDF format.
All applicants must submit a completed State of Texas Application via email (hr@TexasAgriculture.gov) directly to the Texas Department of Agriculture for each specific position by 5:00 p.m. on the closing date. The application must have the exact title and posting number in the subject line.
IMPORTANT:
Application(s) submitted via the WorkInTexas web site, scanned, faxed, mailed or delivered in person will NOT be considered.
Applications are accepted without a signature. Candidates selected for an interview will sign their applications at that time.
Job Postings:
Job opportunities at TDA are posted at all TDA's regional and sub-offices, TDA's web site, various colleges and universities, other state agencies, and placement bureaus across the state. The State of Texas also offers a comprehensive online state job resource website at http://www.workintexas.com/. A separate application with the job title and posting number specified must be submitted for each position for which you wish to be considered.
Special Requirements
Some positions require a writing sample as part of the application. The requirement will be stated in the job posting. Writing samples must be included with the application to be considered.
Other special requirements that may be listed in a job posting include: proof of typing speed, college transcripts, and proof of certification. TDA accepts Texas Workforce Commission's typing and spelling test scores, or arrangements may be made with TDA's Human Resources office upon request.
