Zones 1-8:
All cotton plants must be rendered non-hostable by the stalk destruction date of the given zone.  Destruction shall be performed periodically to prevent the presence of hostable fruiting structures.

Zone 9:
Destruction of all cotton plants shall be accomplished by shredding.  Destruction shall be performed as necessary to keep cotton non-hostable.

Shredding and plowing: Soil must be tilled to a depth of 6 or more inches and destruction shall be performed as necessary to prevent regrowth and volunteer cotton.

Flood irrigation: Flood irrigated, following shredding of the plants, with sufficient irrigation applied to wet all soil.  When flood irrigation is elected:

(ii) A copy of irrigation records shall be presented for inspection during normal working hours, within 5 working days, if so requested in writing by the department.
